Application Instructions for TRACK CLAW® TIRE STRENGTHENER New tires should be first scuffed to remove release agent from tires that come from the factory. This will allow TRACK CLAW® TIRE STRENGTHENER to penetrate deeper. With used tires it is necessary to remove old rubber first before applying TRACK CLAW® TIRE STRENGTHENER. STEP 2: Apply 4-6 coats with sponge or roller as you evenly rotate tire. Allow each coat to dry for 1-2 hours. After the final coat allow approximately 24 hours to dry before racing. Additional coats may be applied, but may not be necessary depending on absorbency of each tire. This application is repeated each week before every race. PROVEN AND TESTED SPECIAL WRAPPING TREATMENT FOR DEEPER PENTETRATION AND PERFORMANCE. THIS PROCESS INSURES MAXIMUM PENETRATION INTO THE TIRES AND ALSO ELIMINATES ANY GLOSSY OR SHINY APPEARANCE 1. Start with scuffed tires before treating. If scuffing is not possible, tires may be wire brushed or sanded using very coarse sandpaper. The purpose of this is to remove mold release agents on new tires. 2. Using any blanket material, cut out 4 strips to the width of the tire and also to the circumference of the tire allowing about an inch overlap on the circumference. 3. Doing only 1 tire at a time, pour out a small amount of the TRACK CLAW® in a flat open container. Wearing rubber gloves, take a small 4" sponge paint roller and dip into the solution and squeeze out excess. Apply a thin wet coat to the tire. Repeat this process at least 2-3 coats on the tire. Make sure the tire stays wet! 4. Once you have applied the last coat of TRACK CLAW® to the wet tire, take the dry cloth strips and wrap it around the wet tire and tack them in place with a few office staples. Now take your paint roller and roll on enough TRACK CLAW® to wet the blanket material. Immediately wrap the tire in plastic or shrink wrap. Put the tire in a large garbage or leaf bag and seal it airtight. This must be done immediately before any evaporation occures. 5. Leave tires in bags for at least 24-72 hours. For maximum results we prefer to leave them in the bags for at least 2-3 days, but sometimes you might not be able to do this because of your time and scheduling. 6. After the tires have been in bags for the suggested time, take the tires out of the bags and unwrap them. You will now need to let the air curing porcess take place by allowing at least 24 to 48 hours drying time before you race on these tires. You can reuse your blanket wraps over and over again by quickly putting them in ziplock bags. 7. For best results, this process should be repeated each week before each race. OPTIONAL APPLICATION ON INTERIOR OF TIRE Pour 10-12oz. of TRACK CLAW® into rear tires and while the car is up on jackstands, crank up car and let run 3-5 minutes to insure complete distribution throughtout interior of tire. Front tires can be done in same manner. |
